@Steampunk_Prof@suearcher I remember it well. Every night I'd be woken up every two hours to go wee in the garden. Some nights I didn't even need to wee! 😉
@Steampunk_Prof Morning Professor. Just in from our early morning wander. It was just drizzling a wee bit when we got back, so not too bad yet.
We have high pressure coming in to stay for a while, so I'm expecting a drop in rainfall and temperature shortly. We shall see if I remember my secondary school geography lesson on meteorology correctly!
A puppy? Good luck! They are hard work but rewarding too. What kind are you getting and MrsD will be demanding photos to coo over. 😉
@Steampunk_Prof We looked into that too. Unfortunately as we already had a dog, we were deemed unsuitable!
Our friend in Scotland adopts the failed guide dogs. She currently has Abby, who failed because she sat down while crossing the road while in training. Lovely black lab.
Avoid the Border Collies. They are far too clever for mere humans!

We heard a similar story about a dog who failed when asked to guide a blindfolded person and they refused. They were then rehomed as a pet.
I love border collies. Most of my mum's family had them as working dogs. My grandad had a particularly bright collie who lived to play fetch when she wasn't working. Did the egg carrying bit.
@Steampunk_Prof My old boss has two, they are far more clever than he is. He loves rugby, they don't and get hold of the TV remote and change the station!
