we are moving to a new building in the summer. this will mean having to cross my least favorite intersection in the city every day. this sucks! I hope there are some good parts to this new building that was just built.
@technolass going next week to actually map out the route and things. avoiding that intersection might be worht a couple of blocks detour. There also might be an inside way but the dowtown path as they call it is super confusing as a blind person.
@rowdyamerican@technolass front street and York street and University avenue all come together at front street in this weird configuration and it is pretty difficult to know when to cross.
@gtbray@technolass yes, their enforcement seems to consist of photo opps and public education campaigns which consist of "be nice to the handicap, they pretend to be people too."
@gtbray@bmoore123 Ah. Point taken. I always kind of have to smile though when I hear AODA, because in the US that stands for Alcohol and Drug Abuse, so it took me a while to understand what it was whenever I saw it used by someone in Ontario.
@gtbray@technolass no and the current government has stated publically that those red tape regulations are against our open for business agenda so there will be no enforcement.
