@christianselig how are contacts anyway? I’ve always been a glasses guy because I can just throw them on my face with no effort

@christianselig the Zeiss lenses from my uploaded prescription work better than the lenses they used in my demo from scanning my glasses.

@christianselig it’s definitely clearer for me at home than on the demo unit. I actually haven’t noticed fringing. I do sometimes get weird reflections on the lenses though.

@christianselig did you notice any glare with your lenses? I’ve been seeing a lot with mine and it kind of sucks. I’ve never been a contact wearer, but it has me considering getting contacts for the first time. If I even can with my eyes.

@cookie_lust Like with the optical inserts? I wasn’t able to get any so I don’t have a point of reference there but I don’t have any issue with glare with contacts and AVP

@christianselig ohhhh, i misunderstood. i was thinking you had your own optical inserts.

and yeah, i’m talking about the optical inserts - i keep calling them lenses. i need to remember “optical inserts”.

i was using it this morning and had to look through glare to see the content. not a great experience 😕 hopefully the optical inserts get hardware revisions sooner than later and more rapidly than the AVP hardware.

@christianselig the two downsides of contacts are:

• lack of astigmatism correction
• strain on your eyes if worn extensively. I find my eyes to feel “tired” if I use my contacts a lot. I wore them a lot when I was younger, but now just keep them for short stints here and there
