While I would much prefer that large tech companies like Meta fuck off forever and that I never have to encounter them, I think this is, in reality, something of a fantasy. They're parasitic - they'll seek out eyeballs wherever they are.
But you don't have to use. You don't have to click. You can personally refused to engage. You can help educate others on the hidden costs of the convenience they offer.
But they aren't going to stop trying to colonize. It's the nature of parasites to do this
