It's always amazing when someone reveals something that's actually horrifying treatment of a child as if it were something normal. (Been there, done that myself a few times.)

Hey, that's a sign of shitty parents, don't wear it as some criticism of you.
@backupbear yeah, as much as I don’t like talking in the car while I’m driving somewhere new, I explain to little miss 5 that I need to concentrate on driving. “Banned because I talk too much” is horrible, “quiet because daddy needs to concentrate on driving so we don’t have a crash” is far better.
