So, #UniLife is not going well.
Yesterday the day went as usual. We had skills practice during the afternoon (in 3s we act as counsellor, client & observer) & were observed by our tutor.
They, unusually, call both classes together to announce the sudden retirement of my tutor! 💣
I’m struggling to process this if I’m honest. My peers are saying they can’t cope because they done like change… I literally can’t cope with change like this!
@Caroline That sounds super stressful. I don't know the details of your program but if you're expecting to work with a particular person you're comfortable with and then suddenly they disappear... stressful.
Did they give you any sort of reassurance / plan for the future / timeline for change, etc?
We do 1 day a week & he’s leaving at Easter so we have 2 more days together before he leaves.
After that they are merging 2 classes & the person teaching only qualified in the same thing we’re currently doing just last year. So I’m worried about not gaining enough insight as my current tutor has 40 years experience.
She will now have a class of 22 instead of 12.
