In San Francisco I guess being queer and married doesn’t matter. Partly it’s ’lots of people are pansexual and poly’ but also lots of straight men here hide under that assumption to just assume everyone is up for whatever they are
Even if I was pansexual and poly, straight men are last on the list of possible mates!
@skinnylatte they do it if they’re queer too. Bi poly men often assume like many bi folks that their experience of gender not always being that important to them is true of others, and that they’re not straight so that must make them higher up on the list for queer women. (Which they are for some apparently, but not like, all of us?)
Tl;dr: so slightly more house trained than the straight ones but only some and it’s a very relative thing.
That’s not even the worst part of this story. The literal worst part is I only knew something was weird when we were texting and I was like ‘I want ice cream’ and then he said ‘diet ice cream?’ I was like wtf?! And he said ‘oh you know coz women prefer diet ice cream’ and that’s when I knew this deceivingly normal person I thought I’d met was very much not okay
Like who talks like that in San Francisco (he’s also my age)
I'm just staring at this, slow blinking in incomprehension
On a related tangent, I have had a few conversations with international students in the same program about how men-women relationships and interactions in this country is very weird
