Heard some fabulous pop music waiting for a takeout burger. Is neo-soul a thing? Only heard the exit chorus, a singer drowned by a vast gospel choir, every upper-range instrument clear through the mix, even in a noisy shop with ceiling speakers. I never listen to pop music so had no idea who that was, but it was a production masterpiece, plainly expensive, with a groove that's stuck with me all evening. May never know, but I was there and it was fine.
@StarlingW pop/r&b/soul production is often top notch highest quality stuff. always interesting to listen for those reasons alone, lots of great stuff in there just composition/performance-wise as well tho.
