Recent decisions on the French-speaking Wikipedia imply that discrimination only exists if openly advertised as such by their authors. Ignorance, or even militant bigotry covered by a veneer of transparent denial, do not count. If victims suffer, it is by some mysterious circumstances, and probably somehow their own fault.
This constitutes deliberate, militant ignorance of a century worth of science. Some encyclopedia this is.
This is all the more interesting that we actually do have a gold standard for far-Right subversion: Cheep, a fr: contributor of 15 years, was found to be coordinating a cell of propagandists supporting Zemmour, the most extremist far-Right politician that French presidential election of 2022 had to offer.
So we have a parallel text of what such people think privately, and what they let show in the open.
Several of the instigators of the current crisis have the exact same profile.
They are apparently prolific contributors who actually spend a great deal of their time on the inner politics of the project, building up recognition to gather a support base, maintaining a constant agitation on divisive topics, with occasional interventions in actual articles to water down the language on their pet far-right parties and politicians, and sniping away at their opponents. That is not hard to spot.
The problem is that a vast amount of naive contributors buy into the plausible deniability, and demand to see proof of malevolence before connecting the dots.
Since 2022 we have had such proof. But there is still an entire demographic of useful idiots doing the bidding of far-rights agitators.
