@protonprivacy please make a flatpak build of your new desktop client for Proton Mail. It'd be great to be able to easily install it in a sandboxed environment, regardless of what Linux distribution you're running. I appreciate the deb and rpm builds, but I greatly prefer flatpaks so that I can control what parts of my systems can be accessed by the applications I run.
@julia We wanted to support a limited amount of packaging formats for the first release, since it helps with development and testing. Adding a packaging format never comes for free and it can have unforeseen impact on parts of the application. That said, we'll be considering adding flatpak support as we develop the application further. Thank you for your feedback!
