Learned something totally new about a piece of software I’ve used for multiple decades last night and now wondering if that “feature” was always there and I just somehow never knew.

Fonts in packaged InDesign files override system ones in how they’re loaded as long as they’re in a “Document fonts” folder alongside the InDesign file itself. Huh. 🤔

@scottboms strange. Like it loads it temporarily just for that document? I suppose that’s a good fail-forward strategy, eh?

@Luke Yeah I think so. I discovered after trying many things to override or fix what I thought was a corrupted cache. Instead it just turned out to be moving those fonts to go back to use the system ones.
