all of these examples are BS in the sense that you could find equal examples from any time in human history; I'm sure Cicero and Plato and Hammurabi had exactly the same complaint
Takes knowledge and effort to use modern communication tools in a productive way and without the tools using you. The same can be said of the newspaper and the radio, and before that of the printing press. The key difference is the ubiquity and particularly the immediacy, which bring about a qualitative change.
