There’s also the cognitive script that fast food workers develop over time where it’s kind of expected you the customer will say things in a certain order and the final question from the worker is “for here, to go?” and you tell them which, then they ring you up.
But if you march up to the counter and very crisply and clearly declare, “Hi, this order is TO GO,” and then give your order, when you’re done the worker will invariably ask, “for here, to go?” 🤷♂️
