@Melezioh I've heard people in your situation have had luck arguing that, because there is no functional difference in being at the office due to telepresence being required either way to work with your team, the travel time is considered mandatory work travel and must be compensated.

The important part is that being in the office doesn't change your actual work experience since you are fundamentally still operating remotely.

This really sucks. I'm sorry and I hope a bit of squeaky-wheel gets them to back off :/
