@pikesley Have scarcely attended any others between The Trades Club and The Brudenell. Shout out to The Piece Hall, which manages biggish gigs OK too (no ceiling for shoddily attached A/C units to fall from, see). Last arena gig would have been at (checks notes) the existing arena in Manchester which still works OK.

@pikesley also, the existing Manchester arena is not in an area known for shocking road traffic congestion, and is actually connected directly to one of the existing actual railway stations of central Manchester.

(Yes, I’m aware that they’re extending the tram to the Coop Live, but that is still less convenient than being right next to the station.)
