Hm. Since today my sidekiq is full of these errors

HTTP::ConnectionError: failed to connect: Too many open files @ rb_sysopen - /etc/resolv.conf on […]<br></br>

I'm sure I've seen reports on and pointers to fix this before, but can't find it anymore. Can anyone help please?

@michael I have had this as well on two occasions. Had to restart sidekiq service to get it flowing again, but did not find out what caused it.

@michael on Linux there are limits to the number of files that can be opened at once. This error looks to me like it's hitting that limit. These can be set at the user level, system level, or process level (ie in a .service file) so fixing this can be done in a few different ways. I'm not sure what's best for your situation but hopefully these links can point you in the right direction
