basically they did a full redesign of the apps and now have a webapp too that can be used to control your Sonos devices (from anywhere?) but the new app is missing a TON of functionality
including the ability to do sleep timers and control your alarms
so if you have alarms configured... you cannot change their configuration anymore unless you're using the older Sonos app on Mac/Windows as those haven't been updated yet. It appears they left them behind on purpose because they knew there was no other way to get this functionality
Additionally there are music services it's not compatible with anymore (temporarily?) and they broke people's local music libraries. Although I would not be too upset about that because their "local music library" support was terrible in many ways like requiring SMB2 and a computer to manage it
