For the first time in my life I went to a Speaking for the Dead. Yes, like the idea promoted in the second book of the Ender Saga.
We didn't know that's what we were going to. The memorial was harshly honest about a life that can only be described as brutal.
I don't think the family was ready for it. But it helped me.
