@simonwood Gdpr compliance is quite a lot of work on the infrastructure and legal level. I assume they try to make the most of twitters failings this week, it makes sense that they are willing to pay the price of EU market for that - and if it created gdpr backlash all the better?

So I slightly agree, but overall their reasons might be a bit more mundane.
