@thunderbird Congrats to the Thunderbird team! The UI is such a huge improvement over 102. Can't wait to give this a try and finally unify a bunch of inboxes I have spread across different email providers.

New interface looks a lot like Outlook. Please let me change it back to the old interface. I've been using Thunderbird for longer than I can remember and I did so because I hated the look and feel of Outlook.

Also, I understand the need for a redesign to get new users, but what about us old school users?

@thunderbird I'm a little concerned about this direction as someone who regularly uses Thunderbird to make sense of mail threads that are 15+ levels deep with multiple branching subtrees.

@thunderbird The only thing I personally do not like is the left panel strip. I think this should not be in a different color but follow the entire app window color. Other than that I am really looking forward to this a lot and am excited! 🤩️

@kunalagrawal They are not, sorry. We just couldn't finish that element in time - not in a form we were content releasing.

The mockup is still our moving target, though, and Supernova represents the first step toward that.
