The boring bio stuff first: I'm an elder #millennial (currently late 30s) #transgender#woman living in the #Chicago Metro Area in the #UnitedStates. I'm just your boring average nerdy white girl with all the pumpkin spice drinks that go with that. :neofox:
What do I talk about? Usually, my trans life or politics or sci-fi or just random shit. I do a lot of responses to people and sometimes even complain about work. :neofox_reach:
Now the thing I'm actually most passionate about: I'm writing a #ScienceFiction#Political thriller #SpaceOpera. The thing that makes it special (in my mind) is that the story changes and evolves based on real life events... I started writing it in 2004, I'm finally getting it out... Hobbies: I enjoy watching #anime, #movies, #television, basically consuming anything I can get my hands on that catches me. I'm an avid player and #GameMaster of #DungeonsAndDragons. I enjoy going to see shows, plays etc. I used to be an outdoorsy type of person, but I think I'm starting to outgrow that bit. :neofox_happy:
Career: My day job is as a technical program manager for a major global cloud services provider. I almost went into software engineering, but I've determined that wasn't for me and went into hardware repair instead. Now, I manage policy, procedure, and the tooling for people in the datacenter who do the repairs of equipment. I've worked way too much in 2023 and hoping to find a better balance in 2024. :neofox_scream:
Politics: Since I talk about them a bit, I should put my politics out there. I spent some time attached to all political belief systems in the US -- When I was young I said thing that were super far lefty. However I spent some time in the far right. They had their tendrils in me when I was convinced that I was a cis-het-dude. Now, I consider myself independent, but most of my beliefs come from the very left side of the scale (just like when I was a kid). :neofox_0_0:
Home Life: I have a pup and a partner that I talk about from time to time. Not much other family connected right now, but maybe I'll reunite with some of them in 2024. Also, I'm very of sad because we know we're nearing the end of life for our puppy; she's dealing with a lot of pain after hurting her back in 2022. :neofox_floof_sad_reach:
