Defence prep continues! Diving into more contemporary and adjacent literature. I'm tired. I would gladly be snoozing alongside the pup. The determined march towards the finish line continues! Slowly, slowly, slowly.

Is it bad that I am more excited about the possibility of having one less thing to do (eventually) than I am about the possibility of crossing the finish line?

The European Public Health Conference, which is all about equity, diversity & inclusion, does (once again) not offer any childcare.

I'd really think that in a registration fee of – believe it or not - 775€ (and that’s the early bird fee!), childcare could be included.

(I personally will gladly leave my kids at home. But it’d be important for those who don't have that option.)

Digging through interview transcripts, an interviewee is reflecting about how challenging #FoodProcurement is with small kids. I responded : 'its hard with small kids, I appreciate that'.

Not shown in the transcript is that my youngest was in a stroller next to us for the interview.

#AcademicParent and #PhDLife are not easy but I am a better, albeit slower, scholar for it.
