I can think of no more comforting a voice than Bob Cole doing the play by play of a hockey game. He was one of the grand old gentleman of CBC broadcasting. His tones echoed through my household during winters growing up and his voice always invokes memories of a warm house on a wintery Saturday night. I grew to dislike Don Cherry years ago (when I was a little boy) as well, highly vocal and annoying AF! I grew to like him tremendously in 2009. Looking back at the older #CoachsCorner segments on #YouTube with a younger DC.. I really like it!! Too bad as a boy I couldn’t tolerate it.
