In less than a week To Kiss a Cat has moved up to be my tenth most popular fic on pixiv. Especially interesting given it is original fiction. Parasitic Plants and Their Uses is number ten on AO3 but it's ecchi in a pro-fanfic fandom.
I suppose some version of don't give up. Old stories can be revived, the next rejection might be an acceptance, one more attempt at publicity might be a tipping point.
Even if we never truly believe it deep down, it may fool us long enough to keep moving forwards.
Good lord, I don't know. My reading list is already very long and tends to be recommendations. My own attempts at designs are minimalist (a face, a setting) as I don't have time to come up with anything more grandiose.
Just a few quick words about EP 3 of I'm In Love With The Villainess.
This is the episode people were worried would be cut. In this EP the character talks openly about being gay. Rae says without angst that she is gay and Clair is reprimanded for her prejudices.
The author Inori-sensei, and the production team stepped up to the plate and didn't flinch.
As much as people hate Twitter it would be a good thing to go there and drop a message of support to @wataoshi_anime
I am sure the haters are banging them right now. Let them know they have our support and appreciation.
Anime Review: Watashi no Oshi wa Akuyaku Reijou (I'm in Love With the Villainess)
This is something I have been looking forward to for months. The ILTV books are so funny and yet so serious. But could the anime even come close to matching them? I’ve had this experience before waiting for a beloved story turned anime and being disappointed.
Not this time. Eight minutes into the show, I was in danger of dying of food inhalation. I literally had to stop eating.
WataOshi is funny, the art is wonderful, and the voice acting superb. This is a 10/10 on all counts.
Since I am duty bound (Rae would never forgive me if I failed in my duty) to find a fault with it.
Here we go: since it absolutely can’t be accused of being yuri bait (Rae has declared her love within seconds of the show’s start) I will have to listen to bloggers spouting about how Rae should have been male or some other claptrap.
Sorry Rae, I can’t do it 10/10. Claire-sama you can step on me next.
There is an artist who does lots of commissions for the UrraPi and ILTV fandoms, but she lives in a war zone and the power situation has been getting worse and worse. Two hours a day - most days.
The fandoms raised the money so she could afford solar panels which were needed if she was going to continue her work.
It's a good day to be alive. Fuck capitalism and the war machines.
