Last week was rough going to the gym. We only went twice all week. This week, we're already at two visits. I'm thankful for that and hopeful we can get back the momentum.
Working half day today after being off yesterday. Heading with the wife & kids up to the beach for the weekend to a family resort with an indoor pool. It'll be a fun few day away.
I'm thankful for this fun little excursion and hoping that the weather stays solid.
Heading to the elementary school soon as I got picked to be a chaperone on a field trip with the MDMRN Twins. My wife is with Twin 1, I am with Twin 2. I am thankful I am able to join them.
Looks like I am also taking the bus to the place.
Hope your day is great, but yea - expect me to be mostly quiet here most of the day.
Went to a solid public meeting yesterday. Yea, there were folks who were yelling to hear themselves talk, but the school planning folks listened to community input and actually changed their plans based on it. So, thankful for that.
Anyway, have a great middle of the week. We're halfway through.
Today has been raining like wild. It's unpleasant to walk in, but I'm sure it's a good thing for the grass / plants to get a good solid rain. So, I'm thankful for the rain.
I hope you have a wonderful Monday and great start to your week!
It is a somber Tuesday after the incident on the Francis Scott Key Bridge. That is my local commuter bridge and the one I took to work daily for over a decade before getting my current, local job.
My BIL / SIL take it still take it. I am thankful their commute did not line up with the incident. We called them both when we saw the news early this morning to check. I am also thankful for those who were able to be saved so far out of the harbor.
I pray that more folks who fell in are found and saved.
@mdmrn Utterly terrifying event to watch happen. You never consider that a whole bridge could collapse in mere seconds like that.
Going to haunt an awful lot of people going over any maritime bridge for a while. 😖
I am not form the area, but know a lot of Baltimoreites due to Otakon, and go down there and to DC when I can, and had been wanting to for the cherry blossoms. Been in communication with various people all day.
Today's the first day of Spring Break for my kids. We have a bonus kid at home who spent the night last night. I'm always thankful that my kids have been able to find friends, especially my older two in Middle and High School where that becomes harder.
The weather is all sorts of rainy which, meh - but it's good for the ground. We need some rain with how dry it's been. So, I guess I am thankful for the rain.
