I gotta admit that I'm disappointed to hear that Dire Wolf Digital will be supporting their board games at #GenCon and not the #CortexPrime or #TalesOfXadia#TTRPGs. It seems like a wasted opportunity.

What are YOUR favorite mechanics?
I recently ran across World Wide Wresting character creation where the characters answer questions about each other (similar to most PbtA games) however, you gain 'heat' between your character and the other character you can use later during scenes. Simple and genius!
@jerodleupold@PaulStefko I have quite a few. But I'll go with goals from #TalesOfXadia. Basically you set some achievable goal and assign it a die rating based on one of the character's Value traits. If you achieve it, it goes into a pool of dice called the growth pool that can be used to advance your character. If you choose to abandon the goal, you can use that goal's die one time in a roll.
First RPG Gamemaster: Not sure how to parse this one. I started out running D&D for my friends. But I think the first person who GM'd a game was a guy who lived across the street but I can't remember his name.
