I'm late to the party, but #TheMagnusArchives is one of the best #horror#fiction#podcasts (tbh, one of the best stories) I've listened to. I can't recommend it highly enough.
I got into listening to podcasts when @Ashens was part of the #sequelisers. I used Stitcher, which was then sundowned. Tried other apps and left it for a while, until I got long commutes again and used something on am iPhone to listen to one of the many podcasts from @film_girl.
Then went back to Android using #GooglePodcasts, which has been recently announced to be on its way out.

I found more podcasts from @film_girl, subscribed to many others that had titles like "What to do when blank happens at work?" and promptly unsubscribed when all of them just pushed the same answer: "You, worker, are always at fault" (including one that suggested that one should cater to toxic managers, and keep them happy).
Then I discovered #TheTechnicalDifficulties, #TheExploringSeried, and #TheMagnusArchives .

Working on ideas for #MahoningStateUniversity I had the idea that I wanted to do small blog post sized vignettes in an #UrbanFantasy or #Horror style, like #OldGodsOfAppalachia but urban rather than rural, as I grew up in a big city and know that. I also didn't want the stories to be from a police or unofficial enforcer of norms, because that is overdone in urban fantasy.
#TheMagnusArchives led me to my answer, that I could have some private group looking into werid stuff. Like weird academics.
#AO3 is so full of shipping, it can be hard to find actual fan plots.
Where are the #StarTrek fan episodes, the #JamesBond fan films? Something like #TheMagnusArchives at least has the (canonised, if you believe it) tag "Fan Statement", but those fandoms are far and few between.
