Artemis 1 update 09:00 ET Nov 28.
The Artemis Orion spacecraft can now see earth just to the right of the moon.

Around 12:40 ET, the moon will have traveled further to the right so that earth will be directly behind the moon as seen from Orion.

The first graphic below is a simulated view, based on real telemetry data.

Live shot from Artemis Orion of the moon and earth at 09:35 ET Nov 28, taken by one of the solar-panel-mounted cameras.

In another few hours (around 12:40 ET), earth will be totally covered by the moon.

Check out https://fosstodon.org/@AkaSci/109410498463827347 for the reason why the moon and the earth appear to be of the same size from this vantage point (the moon is slightly closer and larger now).
