Die Kreuzen goes post-punk. Just as good but in a different way. Doesn’t really sound like any other post-punk sure there’s bits of Bauhaus and others but it sounds like Die Kreuzen. Many people were disappointed with this follow up to their self-titled but how good would a rehash of that been? On this day 40 years ago, Die Kreuzen released their self-titled debut.
With a trademark sound that oscillated between raging hardcore punk, noise and proto-grunge, topped off with unmistakable vocals, the band produced one of the most unique outputs of the US hardcore scene.
