Mein DVNE Patch. An sich schönes Teil, aber irgendwie zögere ich gerade noch, weil mir das Ding fast zu viel glitzert. Auf den Fotos hat es grau ausgesehen. Hmm.
DVNE's Voidkind is one of the albums I'm listening to the most at the moment. And it's a grower!
I was not really familiar with them before but what I like in this album is the diversity of sounds: some parts sound sludgy and remind me of early Baroness and other similar acts from the '00s, some parts are really progy in a Tool way, some parts are lurking towards post-metal with repetitive riffs and nice atmosphere. The combination of fry, throat and clear singing is the icing on the cake!
Random thought, how do you even pronounce #Dvne? Since encountering #Avkrvst I know that bands like to replace u with v (in case of Avkrvst, they're inspired by Norwegian artist Kjell Aukrust). So is Dvne pronounced "Dune"? Because if I leave the v and try to pronounce that, it would be close to Daphne.
Höre gerade das Debütalbum von DVNE "Progenitor", das ich bisher nur 1x nebenbei gehört und sonst ziemlich vernachlässigt habe.
Es hat großartige Momente, aber an so mancher Stelle fehlt mir der Feinschliff ;) Nicht tragisch - ich höre es trotzdem gerne. Die aktuellen Sachen gefallen mir trotzdem besser.
