Absolutely love this grotesque on the former Coats Memorial Church in Paisley. Built in 1894, it was designed in a Gothic Revival style by H.J. Blanc and it's covered in some fantastic Gothic-inspired sculptures and carvings. It's now used as an events venue.

This is the Gargoyle and he'll even be featured in an erotic short story that accompanies the books!

This gargoyle is a great piece of architectural detailing on the former Glasgow Deaf And Dumb Institute building on Prospecthill Grove. Built in the 1860 in a French Gothic style, it was designed by Salmon, Son and Ritchie.

A builder, whilst having a dispute with a local authority about his attempt to convert an old pizza shop in Trowbridge has put up a groesque of the council leader on the side of the building.

Instead of being offended about it, the council leader is now using an image of it as his Facebook profile image

The second of the pair of grotesques above the door of Shawlands Cross Church in Glasgow. It's not quite as cute as the other one, which I posted a couple of days ago, but still a great little architectural adornment.

Yesterday I discovered a new favourite Glaswegian ecclesiastical grotesque. It's this cute little one which seems to be pulling itself through the wall of Shawlands Cross Church.
