Here's an assortment of PCs and laptops. Highlights include Starring-the-Computer debutantes Zenith EaZy pc in "Hider in the House" and Alienware 13 R2 in the first episode of A Murder at the End of the World. There are a couple of Toshiba T1000/1200s as well as Amstrads and PS/2s.

There are some good shots of a Toshiba T1200 on board the mining vessel in "Leviathan".
Jose Luis has an Amstrad PC 1512 in his room in "Jamon Jamon".

So, my dad found an old IBM PS2 model 50. It powers on, but displays weird stuff he can't make any sense of (doesn't help that it's probably english). He tried starting with the original floppy (yes, it's still there), without success. I personally would like to keep it. Is it treasure enough to keep?

Now that if figured out what I broke. What kind of fuse is this? I can't find anything that looks like this. This is from under the floppy area on a PS/2 Model L40 SX.

Visited the Museum of Technology at Middle Georgia State University today with my son. Parts were unavailable to the public due to construction but we did get to play around with some classics.

My Retro-Computer Journey - let's start with my Ohio Scientific Challenger 4P. I got this given to me by an older fellow who was getting rid of all his stuff. It had the MOS 6502 processor in it and I kept it for several years but really didn't do much with it. I wound up donating it to a computer museum in the end. Interesting machine for sure!

deepskies,

My Retro-Computing Journey - When I first got out into the workforce, one of my earliest desktops was an IBM PS/2 55SX and I loved it so much, I managed to buy one for home! Overall a lousy gaming machine, but it ran Word Perfect 5.1, Lotus 1-2-3 and dBASE really well! LOL!
