Went to the Boston Symphony this evening. Very fun program:
Stride by León, a 2020 piece dedicated to Susan B Anthony. Very deliberately chaotic piece, with a lot of fun sounds coming together especially from the percussion section. (It ends with two players playing the chimes, with different parts :chinokafu_woah:)
Piano Concerto for the Left Hand by Ravel, performed by Seong-Jin Cho (who was simply incredible live!)
The Rite of Spring by Stravinsky, with some very epic work by the percussion section. You could feel how much fun they were having in this concert.
Coco 707 - Ravel, Pavane de la Belle au bois dormant 💛✨️ As this Ravel melody has been in my head for the whole week now, I guess this Coco just wanted itself to be made 🎵🎶 Have a beautiful Friday! https://youtu.be/4dEVO5rk5qU?si=gm5iCS5sXH_PZzxR
