A little PSA for all members of the #SAPCommunity that have left the bird platform. The SAP Online Track Discord server is closing down. A huge thanks to everyone who contributed!
Working on a new #SAPCommunity post about information archeology, my first topic post-platform-migration and missing the handy WordPress feature showing number of words. I want to write 1000 - 1500 words but don't feel a need to copy to a Unix command line to run wc across.
On the other hand, I don't miss as much the "N-minute read" predictions that insult my comprehension rate.
I'm still not up to Black History! I'm still working through white US history. Bear with me! Almost there!
Q: Why does it seem like everything has to be woke now? Even our scientists?! It never used to be that way! Why does it seem like these days, even higher education has to think about race, when it didn't before?
A: Higher education, including STEM, did think about race before. That history has just been hidden from you. Because racism.
@mekkaokereke Before that I was on campus trying to connect IT students to the #SAPCommunity software people.
The old Northwood shopping center site has been reworked.

The #SAPCommunityRevamp down-time/read-only phase is set to end tomorrow (23-Jan-2024). My wild guess(es) what happens next, via blog-spot instead of SAP for obvious reasons. #SAPCommunity #ABAPDetective
Imminent revamp:
"Entering Final Stages
The SAP Community migration is back on track, and the site is ready for final steps. You may already see new areas starting to appear." #SAPCommunity #SAPCommunityRevamp
I don't think I will complete this #SAPCommunity mission before the site morphs in January. Of the 3 criteria, I think "additional comments" is the missing piece, which either means my posts are not note-worthy, or the steps to comment are too steep.
Today in virtual #SAPTechEd I get to view a session by Marco Dorn "SAP Landscape Management Cloud expert", whom I know from previous #SAPCommunity conference planning.
(Sip coffee bingo for every time #cloud is spoken or written)
Someone (or something) commented today on an #SAPCommunity post I wrote in 2010. That latency typically denotes spammishness, but it seems well-written if not opaque, and I cannot figure out what was the ponit. Maybe creating a "legacy" per LeCarre tradecraft lore?
I would have enjoyed more time at the #FOSS4GNA conference this week, except we planned a NOLA getaway via train, where we hope to meet up with #SAPCommunity peeps there for the ASUG post tech ed in person conference. #Tuscaloosa
Thanks to a post on @rnanclares 's timeline I found there is a high tech GIS conference right nearby in downtown #Baltimore October 23-25 (2023). Might have to swing by!
