Male-defaultism in #archaeology is bloody annoying.

Just because someone draws a #hunting scene in a #cave, doesn't mean it was a man doing so or depicting one.

Every #archer grave from the Bell Beaker Era MUST be #male because even when they find #female additions, that just means she is related to a great man or the male lost status (of course).

Archaeologist Randy Haas just assumed he found a male big game hunter in Peru in 2013. Except he didn't.

Even today some men can't accept the fact that the burried person was female. It just melts their little brains.

If you are well organized, it is a healthy trait. no one would say you are "on the OCD spectrum".. but when that trait gets out of hand we would say you have OCD, and likely would be diagnosed as such.

I see (autism) ASD and ADHD as much the same way. Most people diagnosed with it who are high functioning dont really have it at all. It is just a personality trait and all in all a positive one. high-functioning ASD are just people without social hangups, good. And people with ADHD who are high-functioning are largely just amazing multi-taskers.

The harm in putting people on a spectrum is they see themselves asa diseased, broken, something that needs "consideration.. they arent, in most cases in the right proportions these "diseases" are in fact just super powers, things more people should wisht hey have really.

That's not my point of view.
First, you don't even get a formal diagnosis if you are just high functioning and don't have any problems (at least in my country, Germany). On the Opposite, there are so many struggling day to day who are not formally diagnosed.

If you have ADHD/ASD, even when you don't struggle at the moment, there is a higher risk, so it is better to prevent possible negative outcomings. You don't lower that risk by calling those people "healthy" or "super powered".

Considerably inhuman to not give a person the accommodations they need but wait until they suffer and than think everything could be repaired with talk therapy instead of changing the surroundings.
Did you ever hear of preventive healthcare?

Of course it's a disability even if you don't have acute problems. You permanently have to manage the accommodations in order to not get them again and that is also exhausting.

You said it because you want to take away the status of "disability" regularly.
The main goal of that status is to have the legal right to get accommodations.

Yeah, in another society maybe in the far future everyone will get the accommodations they need regardless their status. But not here, not today.

So if you want to change the way we think about ASD/ADHD please change society first. Too big for you? Then don't harm people when they try to live in that system at least.

Ich suche eine für , die Listen zum Abhaken verwalten kann, v.a. für Einkauszettel. Soweit so stino.

Ich brauche aber irgendein Feature, dass Listen oder einzelne Items verkettet oder getagt/gefiltert werden können, damit ich (wegen Allergien etc.) meine Sachen nach Laden sortieren kann. Es gibt Dinge, die kann ich überall kaufen, andere müssen speziell aus Laden X sein, trotzdem brauche ich 1 übersichtliche Liste wenn ich dort stehe.

Bonus wenn man die Listen an mehreren Geräten synchronisieren kann, Doppelbonus wenn die auch noch unterschiedliche Betriebssysteme haben könnten.

Nein, das stimmt nicht.
Der Satz müsste eher lauten:

"Ich setze meine Prioritäten anders und das ist mir nicht wichtig genug, um mir die nötige Zeit dafür zu nehmen."

Die Gewichtung kann richtig oder falsch sein. Die Begründung kann vielfältig sein. Die Alternativen mannigfaltig. All das will ich nicht bewerten.

Aber seid ehrlich. Zu euch. Zu anderen.

Auf der anderen Seite sollten wir natürlich auch alle lernen, nicht gleich in Schnappatmung zu verfallen, wenn jemand ein Thema als persönlich zu unwichtig einstuft und das sogar klar ausspricht.

Aber das ist dann ein anderes Thema...

Es ist im Übrigen ziemlich egal, ob man Gendersprache toll, sinnvoll, unnötig oder nervig findet: In jedem Fall kann man kritisch gegenüber Politiker:innen sein, die mit Genderverboten Emotionen schüren, Kulturkämpfe anfachen und von viel akuteren Themen ablenken wollen.

@winston @florianaigner Durch Austausch kann man besser werden. Ich habe bei Menschen, die bewusst gendersensibel formulieren, noch nie Ablehnung für Verbesserungen gespürt, sondern meist Offenheit das System anzupassen damit es für alle taugt. Wie können Screenreader das besser verarbeiten? Wie passt Gendern zu Leichter Sprache? Ein pauschales Verbot schadet diesem wichtigen Diskurs.

Viele Behinderte wissen selbst am besten, wie sich Ausgrenzung anfühlt und wollen dazu nicht aktiv beitragen.
