I’m really looking forward to Harold Halibut.

I avoided the demo last month because of spoilers and have barely read or watched anything about the game in anticipation.

Late-to-the-party appreciation post for Ted Lasso (spoiler warning goes here)

I absolutely adored the first 2 seasons as they came out and wasn’t confident in how the third season would follow up. And tbh, the first half was somewhat underwhelming. The Zava stuff seemed pointless and it kinda felt like it was running on auto-pilot. But man, starting with the Amsterdam episode it was just banger after...

I enjoyed the first season but then it dropped off hard from there. I did watch it all but doubt I’ll ever go back to it.

Thanks. Looks like an interesting adaptation.

If I’m out and about I get coconut milk in my coffee as ordering it black means I have to wait half hour for it to cool down! They make it so damn hot.

buying games on GOG (directly on our service or via Luna) will give you the best of both worlds – enjoying them on Luna’s cloud gaming service, as well as via offline installers or GOG GALAXY.

This sounds pretty good but not really something I would use GOG for unless it is included in Amazon Prime.

I’ve become such a light sleeper now that I have kids. It’s a real pain in the arse but it’s getting better now they are a bit older.

I need to work on remembering that my youngest can’t do everything the same that the older one can and stop getting frustrated. It’s an easy thing to do, and sometimes she does act older, but I need to be there more to help without her asking.

Citizen Sleeper, one the the best games, not just indie.

Developers change so much that it is hard to have a favourite anymore.

SCS have been going for a while now and are doing a great job with ETS2 and ATS, supporting the game and releasing/updating DLC regulary. It feels like a true passion project for them.

Most of favourites are small indie developers and games like Live For Speed, Software Inc, Ostriv.

If you want a game that runs poorly then check out Squad

Something definitely seems off about the 2070 if it is struggling at 1080p so don’t give up yet. You might still get to play if you diagnose what’s wrong.

Payday 3’s concurrent player count is 287 on Steam

Yep, that’ll do it… Those are absolutely awful numbers.

I don’t really have a strict one or the other preference anymore.

Nintendo 1st party stuff I always buy physical, Dreamcast I collect for so that’s physical too but for Xbox I buy mostly digital when on sale. I guess for Xbox its different because I have Gamepass (the £1 upgrade deal they used to offer, still 18 months remaining, but I won’t renew) so I haven’t bought a new game in like 2 years now. The there is PC… My games are all over the place!

Plus with a family we just dont have the space to keep everything forever that we buy anymore.

I don’t like either company (but in this case I do side with Epic) but I do like all the drama they bring.

It had a short lifespan but the DC has an amazing library of games and accessories. Also welcome to the DC community!

Death Stranding had me all over the place. Also the first season of Telltales The Walking Dead.

Basically anything with kids can set me off and I find somewhat difficult nowadays as I have children of my own.

It took me a couple tries with DS too. The first few chapters don’t do it justice but once you get past that it’s just amazing.

It’s quite an open question. Most games I play are “one and done” even though I think most people go back to them. Even with replayability it doesn’t mean that you have to and I’m happy to leave things be once the story is over.

Mafia trilogy sticks to the story and will take a decent amount of hours.

Inside is short but fun.

Honestly we don’t normally bother and it’s just a non-uniform day but this year it is Where’s Wally? for one and all the Minecraft clothes for the other.

Thoughts on a few recent games

Mirror’s Edge - This is a game I’ve been meaning to play for some time. A few years back I played the first couple of levels on a friend’s PS3 and recalled it being a fun experience. So when it went on sale for under £2 on Steam I couldn’t say no. It holds up exceptionally well for a game from 2008! The stylised...

I agree on all the fighting and a “no gun run” is the best way to play.

B0NK3RS,
@B0NK3RS@lemmy.world avatar

Yeah it definitely takes away from the experience. It could have been an all time favourite if it didn’t have them.

I haven’t played much of ME Catalyst but the combat in that game is a nicer approach, with only hand to hand and no guns.

Any kind of microtransaction or paid content is a real turn off for me nowadays. I really couldn’t care less about your loot boxes, battle passes and “games as a service” so I will just play something else.
