playing hades 2 is awesome but opening steam I see all these games I started but left unfinished and dmn it feels terrible. gotta figure out what to finish and make a plan to get through it. I shouldn’t buy a game til I get through this list. Gonna be tough prioritizing though and finding time for it all.

Okay so is fucking phenomenal and it’s living up to the hype immensely, even in its early access state. There’s a massive jump in difficulty that I’m a lil annoyed by (one sub boss in particular) and every mechanic has an extra layer of complexity that can be a bit harder to get past but everything is just so much deeper than in any other rougelite I’ve played.

Gonna no life it so hard this weekend, all my loved ones will probably have to call a wellnsss check on me.

@jenbanim gud game gud.

Stuff that’s unfinished are things like art icons and a couple of minor character models.

The gameplay itself feels quite polished and aside from a single weapon that feels a bit unthought out (or I could just be bad) I think it’s in an amazing state.

The one thing I’m worried about is if my save file is gonna be deleted once game proper comes out but honestly I’ll probably enjoy playing it out again and noting the differences.

Rebel moon is a disaster. someone needs to do Snyder a favor and take away his writing pen.

Which pains me to say because I think Snyder’s flair as a director (shallow as it is) has lent to the greatest scenes in comic book movies. His dc films are uneven but the scenes where they hit are my favorites that make me want to keep watching superhero flicks.

The watchmen intro, dr manhattans monologue, the 300 shield wall, steppenwulf destroying the Amazonians etc etc.

But my god the writing.

@Legit_Spaghetti Nolan in general has always been meh for me (memento excepted). Though I’m not sure if my ambivalence is more because they never meet the hype people set for them, or if it’s just because I don’t care for how often his go to filmmaking is just an auteur version of Michael bay films.

my refusal to call star wars scifi has caused a rift in my board gme meetup group. if i was a bigger man i would relent. but i am not. star wars is not sci fi in any way. spaceships and lasers guns doesnt mean its frikin science fiction. i will die on this hill and take everyone down with me.

@archliberal 100%. i think the issue some people have with labeling star wars space fantasy is that they think it lowers it in some way. it doesnt at all.

Good news on the PT/shoulder-pain front. Switching to sleeping on my back (as much as possible) has seemed to fix the minor lingering issues I've had after the initial rotator cuff problems were addressed

Unfortunately I keep turning over in my sleep. The only time I can seem to go to bed and wake up on my back is when I'm drunk on my couch lol

@jenbanim I’ve had shoulder pain and using kinesiology tape made a big difference.

Won’t help much with sleeping but honestly the person who figures out how to stop people from shifting from their back would be a billionaire and deserve it. I heard body pillows are a good way to keep sleeping on your side though. Best of luck to you
