Curse my brain for reading a nonsense phrase describing a videogame ("so texturally convincing, you'll want to touch it") and getting stuck on what leads someone to put those words together as though it makes any sense.

I've never managed to train myself out of this one even though I know it's futility incarnate.

What does this even mean?

Nothing has convinced me more that we need a full on nineties adventure game revival than watching a few people in games over the past 48 hours get their brain blitzed by an adventure videogame that puts all the work into looking astounding but ends up just okay at best.

It's clear we need to make this normal again so these folk don't have to reach so hard.

Also, so people who like nineties adventures can have more to play, natch.

Anyways, Braid and this particular corner of the internet I clearly don't belong in aside, every single time these things are loaded with games with awful worldviews often by awful people and/or are loaded with the most atrocious monetisation and exploitative design but I guess they don't have tits in so that's fine?

Every now and then I look up an indie game I’ve not really paid any attention to and end up on A Certain Forum and there’s a good chance there’s this one guy posting saying “nah, I work with indies and [x] reviews is shit, they should have [y] right now” and I hope to never work with them because they’re getting a wedgie for that shit.
