There should be an indie-indie game tips site.

Not guides or gamefaq style step throughs everywhere, hand drawn maps and shit like that. Little snippets of info like “jumping onto the jelly bean on level 7 by bouncing off the Venus fly trap is a faster way to reach the gem of flaps”. Silly, possibly useful, occasionally Viz top tips level.

No new space stations and shipbuilding for me yet.

Honestly don’t think I’ve regretted buying a console as much as getting the Xbox whilst I still had the money to buy myself a next gen console and there being no PS5s around. Stuck with the thing now though even though I only play like three or four games on it.

Seeing Chris Dring’s observations about people questioning the worth of supporting it yesterday checks out with the experience of using it.

My knowledge of Atari 8 bit games is scandalously poor so I’m always really grateful for folk sharing vids and stuff.

Thinking about that critique of Stray I retooted a few days back where it pointed out it stopped even trying to be about playing a cat fairly quickly and this was clear when they gave the cat a flashlight and I’ve been thinking a lot about this.

Anyway. I eventually decided that yeah, I’d give my cat a flashlight. If she really wanted one that badly, that is.
