Today's random photo is another Apple Blossom one. This is a small tree I grew from the seed of a Pink Lady apple. It has of course "reverted to type" and is a crab apple now. After 25 years, in 2023, it flowered and produced a single crab!

Congratulations to NHS England who claim that "The NHS’ ambition to roll out 10,000 virtual ward beds by the end of September has been achieved, according to the latest figures from NHS England."
All they need now is some virtual patients to fill the virtual beds and then they can set up a virtual waiting list for virtual patients waiting to be allocated a virtual bed.

A government that can’t plan a high speed railway line or run its health services or repair its schools or pay its teachers, nurses and doctors is never going to manage the economy, control a pandemic or build a zero-carbon future.
Clearly the shambolic Conservatives need to stand aside and let someone else have a go.
