The company you work for is not your family and will never be.

They use the word "family" to manipulate you.

You are replaceable at work but never replaceable at home.

No amount of money can buy back lost time with your family.

Life is short. You get 4,000 weeks if you're lucky.

Monthly mortgage on a $500,000 home today: $3,500

Monthly mortgage on a $500,000 home in 2021: $2,000

$1,500 more per month for the same home. Wild.

If you make $20/ hour, that night out isn't $300, it's 15 hours of your time, or 2 days of work.

If you make $20/ hour, that car isn't $50,000, it's 2,500 hours of your time or 357 days of work.

Framing purchases in time instead of dollars will help you make better decisions with money.

Always consider opportunity cost.

Time is your most valuable asset, use it wisely.

Life expectancy is 77.
Retirement age is 67.

50 years of work to enjoy 10 years?
Let that sink in for a moment.

We need to shift this mindset.
Retirement is a financial goal, not an age.

It’s more than clearly a trickle up economy. Probably time to do something about that America.

My credit score dropped when I paid off my car.

My credit score dropped when I paid off my student loans.

The system punishes you for not owing any money.

They told me: "You should get more loans to increase your credit score."

The system is predatory and wants you to be in debt.

Credit scores are one of the biggest scams.

@FluentInFinance amazingly enough I have no debt at all and an 800+ credit score.

Which would be impossible if what you're saying is true.

But you obviously have no clue how credit scores are calculated. They are forced, by law, to publish how they're calculated and what inputs they're basing your specific score on.

Your ignorance is your fault.

Stop spreading it around.

@FluentInFinance don't get me started.

the bank : gives your data to two private company (equifax and transunion), not negotiable.

it's your responsability to keep your file up to date with these 2 private companies. huh, what?

the private companies : oh no, we got hacked.

the private companies : we'll give you free monitoring of your credit for a year to compensate, usually, it cost 20$

me : I... I never agree to any of this, I had no choice.

Wait 1-day before deciding on small purchases,

1-week for medium purchases, and

1-month for large purchases.

This will save you a lot of money on impulse purchases.

And if you still want it, then buy it.

If not, skip it.

You'll realize you never really needed it.

If something costs $150 and is on sale for $100,

You're not saving $50.

You're still spending $100.

If you buy something you weren't going to buy in the first place, it’s not a good deal.

Anything is 100% off if you don't buy it.

The Stock Market crashed:

-90% in 1929
-50% in 1973
-35% in 1987
-55% in 2008
-35% in 2020

And recovered to new all-time highs every time.

Since 1926, the stock market has returned 10.5% per year, on average.

Market drops are an opportunity for long-term investors, not a risk.

Generational wealth is built on red days.

By age 30, you should form a circle of friends who talk about building wealth, investing, entrepreneurship, and self-improvement.

Not gossip.

Scarcity mindset:
• Waiting 30 mins in line for gas, to save a few pennies.
• Waking up at 3 am to wait in line for a sale, to save a few dollars.

Wealthy Mindset:
• Not wasting your time to save a few pennies.
• Realizing your time is worth more than saving a few dollars.

Money is infinite. Time is not.

You can make more money if you run out of it.

You won't get more time when you run out of it.

Time is your most valuable asset. Never waste it.
