They do know, and they love you back. Cats consider humans they live with to be a part of their pride. They basically think we’re big, ugly, clumsy cats lol

Max level is 12, and there’s obviously content to do at level 12, so you’re probably right around half way

Baldur’s Gate 3 did D&D authenticity so well that it also suffers from group scheduling conflicts 😞

Skyward Flight is fantastic. As are the next two novels in the series. I just finished Defiant a couple weeks ago. Brandon did such a good job concluding the series, I’m so hyped for Stormlight 5’s conclusion. I’m also very excited to see how Janci continues in Skyward Legacy.

I just started Greencloak by Lyndsey Luther, which sounds like it’s going to be a fun high fantasy novel in a unique setting. She’s also the person Lyn in the Stormlight Archive is based on

I’d be interested in the backgrounds of the people answering this question too. I come from a poor family, and spent the first few years of my working life doing manual labor, and this attitude absolutely baffled me. I have a work from home desk job in tech now, where I routinely have hours of downtime, and I’ve been loving it. This is the best my mental health has ever been. I’m getting time to read my miles long backlog of books, and develop skills I wouldn’t have time for otherwise. I don’t reach the end of the day exhausted to the point where all I have to look forward to is sleep, and then doing it all again, like I used to. I have an under-desk treadmill for exercise, and I’m eating healthier and saving money because I’m feet from my own kitchen, and I have the time to cook real meals while at work. I hope to continue increasing my salary, but I think I would be happy doing this same work for a very long time.

I need to get a bottle of the Star Trek Wines Kanar. Not because I care about the wine, but so I can put my own liquor in it. I think Amaro Sfumato Rabarbaro fits the bill perfectly. Dark brown and viscous, with a floral nose, like is mentioned on Memory Beta, and bitter and smoky, making it an acquired taste. A taste I have very much acquired

They spend a lot of time practicing to expand their mind and feel the Force. It’s probably not too hard to figure out how to go the other way

Precise, not accurate. They just always miss in the same way

How lock has there been a Cremposting community?? I looked for it a while ago and was so sad. I missed you guys!!

The problem is just the meme is misused. It should only be for intentionally bad takes

Surprising to see a Republican actually admit it though. He must be trying to pull a Mitt Romney, and hoping to get some moderate votes, hoping they’ve forgotten everything he’s done to damage the country

I’m sure he’s just stuck in the buffer

My intro to Trek was Voyager reruns on SPIKE at like 3am. It was wild. I’m so glad it’s more accessible now lol

Star Trek was very good at being made cheaply. That’s originally why they had transporters. You don’t need to film how they get from one location to another. And they did things like Shuttlepod One in Enterprise, where the entire episode literally takes place in one room.

Both TOS and TNG did both come very close to total cancellation though. I believe it was Lucille Ball that saved TOS

Yeah, I really didn’t think I’d like Lower Decks either. When Paramount released Discovery, which didn’t feel like Star Trek at all, and then an animated comedy Star Trek, I felt they had absolutely no right to make fun of Star Trek. Fortunately, the creator and the writers actually do love the show, and it’s smart and quick, and really gets what Star Trek stands for. And now, because of the Strange New Worlds crossover (which was a masterpiece), Mariner’s actress will be writing for Star Fleet Academy! So I’m excited for that as well

Roku has patented a way to show ads over anything you plug into your TV (arstechnica.com)

A patent application from the company spotted by Lowpass describes a system for displaying ads over any device connected over HDMI, a list that could include cable boxes, game consoles, DVD or Blu-ray players, PCs, or even other video streaming devices. Roku filed for the patent in August 2023 and it was published in November...

Well then, none of them are talking to me! Lol

I love it. I don’t usually like dystopian settings, but it’s so believable

What are some books for someone who has been really into anime light novels for years

I was a huge anime fan back when i was younger, around 2017ish i switched to reading a lot of light novels instead. So hundreds of books later im having more issues finding anything to read. But i also have a lack of interest for non anime books and its rather annoying. I read through a song of ice and fire a while ago and loved...

You’ll love the Stormlight Archives then. It’s very anime. Crazy magic powers and giant super swords. Most of the fandom thinks the best way to do a TV adaptation would be to animate it

Yumi and the Nightmare Painter is another one I think you’ll especially like. It’s inspired by Hikaru no Go, Your Name, and Final Fantasy 10
