    @virtualbri I think it depends on if they did mocap or not. Mocap rates are different than just VO rates, but it probably more depends on the specific contract the VA has with the studio.

    Kevin McCarthy decided to proceed with an “impeachment inquiry” without taking a full House vote. But he knows this is illegal. He argued it was illegal back in 2019, and Barr’s DoJ affirmed that any impeachment inquiry begun without a House vote was invalid. But he went ahead with it anyway. Because he’s spineless and hypocritical.

    Day 9- Favorite Dice
    Is it fair to ask someone who their favorite child is?

    OK, that's overstating it A LOT. I do have a favorite set of dice.

    Element dice. The set will likely never be entirely complete due to the volatility & dangerous nature of some of the heavier elements. I also don't play w/them, but they're just so freaking cool. They're as close to 100% of each element as possible. Certain precious metals (Ag, Pt, Au) are plated. I couldn't afford the purer versions.

    The unstable, dangerous elements so far, are encased in acrylic. Cerium was originally pure, but it oxidized so badly they had to send everyone new one encased in acrylic.

    @genesisoflegend I've never experimented with it to see how's it's weighted. There's a small air bubble with the mercury, so you can see it moving around. It might affect the randomness.

    Got an invite to Bluesky and set up an account over there just to have it.

    Turns out, that's where nearly all the D&D/TTRPG people have gone. And also a whole bunch of news and history folks I used to follow.

    Well, shit.

    I still like it better here. I wish that opinion were more widely shared.

    @KeithAmmann As do I. I also have grave concerns about Bluesky's use of AI moderation and how they use anything that's posted to train that AI, including art, pictures, etc.

    Affinity Publisher folks; if you have been struggling with how to set up the right leading for an index (such as dots, dashes, or spaces), the option you are looking for is actually under the paragraph style for the index style itself and not under the Index tool itself. It's unintuitive and takes a little while to figure it out.

    @genesisoflegend The price is certainly right compared to Adobe. I just wish they hadn't reinvented the wheel w/re: to the interface.
