I feel like Microsoft was doing a relatively good job in the last few years in turning the company around. But the rush for putting “new technologies” in everything might kill most of the new found good perception very rapidly. I don’t think it will pay off in the long run.

@djlink I've been thinking this a lot ove the past few yrs. Mainly for going all-in (to bed) with AI, but also with their Metaverse-like-avatar stuff, etc. Some odd decisions lately, that I feel will hurt them eventually.

If, like me, you a big fan of short stories or anthologies like "Love, Death & Robots" (❤️❌🤖) - then I highly recommend checking out "A Thousand Suns".
Six episodes, all free to watch and < 5mins each, telling power powerful sci-fi stories made on a shoe-string, but with a production value easily competing with big screen. Can't wait to see more! 🤓

@samwho Amazing. Glad to hear I'm not the only one googling for chars! 😅👌

In my case, I'm often doing it for the bullet point symbol (•), which I think the Mac has a key for, but I lost it when I went back to Win years ago.

Seeing a lot of reqs for symbols (not surprisingly), but the suggestion of making this customizable (e.g. local cache of fav chars) could be perfect, if someone was able to add that capability. 🤔

So I have somehow missed an amazing DUNE II demake that @Liquidream did a couple years back. Definitely making a video for the upcoming Monday release.

At this point I can start thinking on putting together a Top-5 Pico-8 strategy games video. A previous top-5 thing got a few K of views, which is unusual for my little YT hobby.

As a no-doubt thrillling update, Retrospecs will continue to be available in the EU, as I’ve found a virtual office package with mail forwarding which Apple deems acceptable in terms of EU Digital Services Act compliance.

On the downside, it’s costing me about 10% of what Retrospecs generates in the average year, so that’s just peachy. 😔
