What I like about Mastodon is that it's not one big Hellsite but 10s of thousands of individual Hellsite that all fight each other. Like fueding City States. Watching people vague about drama in the far reaches is like hearing the gossip in a tavern, where people say stuff like "The City Lord of the Artisan City claims to be a Pagan, yet aligns themsleves with Church Doctrine... How foreboding"

In 2024 I pledge to be more ominous and foreboding. When I enter a room the blood with chill in people's veins and the air will rush out of the room. The discordant whispers of dead spirits will ring in the ears of all who gaze upon. In my eyes will be the an infinite light, refracting at impossible angles that betray a depth human minds cannot comprehend. My laugh will spoil crops and curdle milk. Dread and despair will follow all who cross my path.

Also maybe I'll kiss a guy, as a treat.

    @queersamus I'm 25 and anyone under 22 looks like a child to me it's wild. I have filters set on the app because it's legitimately uncomfortable for me to see 18-20 year olds in that context. (Which makes me side eye when people over 40 seems to exclusively go for guys in that age range.)

    @queersamus It fun to me when art reaches a point where enjoyability is no longer a factor and it's fully focused on the context because it's either gonna still be garbage or a transformative experience that alters your brain chemistry.

    @queersamus The development doesn't surprise considering all the moderation bullshit that was already happening, but it's interesting seeing the direction they're continuing to take.

    I already can tell Bluesky may not get too much mileage from the sheer fact that it's harder to form a concrete bond in the platform if you weren't already a mutual. It's a very transactional platform.

    @queersamus @InfinityBear there's such a weird culture. Aside from some of the big accounts no one talks to each other, and even for some of the bigger ones it's all just likes. There's no way to hide specific users reposts, so you either hide all or hide none, switching between the different lists is super unintuitive. Plus even tho it's invite only, some fools are just posting their links publicly on Twitter so now bot accounts are going around following everyone.

    @queersamus I have the same feeling. Guys in their 20s who call themselves daddy just feels gross to me personally. Its especially cringe when they identify themselves as such on dating apps. I've seen 19 years olds with daddy in their profile and I'm like "motherfucker you can't even rent a car and I bet you don't know how to use a grill be S I L E N T

    I don't know why but there's something very sexy about the wat Italian Mobsters are portrayed in a lot of movies and films. That and the collection of New York accents drive me a bit wild.

    Hot Take: Discipline isn't just making yourself do things you don't wanna do. Its figuring out why you don't wanna do it, and developing a system to make it so that you will. Discipline shouldn't have to feel like pulling teeth. Find a way where it feels natural and you're much less likely to have a moment where it snaps.

    It is very interesting how of all the criticism of TheBadPlace, all of it is focused on the visible Black person involved, and not the welshpixie person who's very clearly committed to flying as many red flags as possible.

    Like, even if you agree with the premise of TheBadPlace, the fact that Welshpixie has such a strong part in it should give people pause I feel. But she's not the one people are attacking and harassing over it.

    Thinking about how beautiful it is that animals are born with a natural desire to play. Its not just humans or domesticated animals. Most of them are born with a silly gene. I love that.

    The Seven Campaign is just 6 women bullying Brennan for 2 hours straight and that's hilarious to me. Because it's either "I have extensive knowledge of what's possible in DnD and I'm making it your problem" or "I wanna shove the spooky tentacles up his ass" and there's no in between

    @queersamus I wouldn't be surprised. It definitely feels like some of those SMP YouTubers made a lot of calculated moves to secure their place. I'm sure Wilbur had wanted to do music in the past and just bided his time until he had a chance.

    The main one floundering at this point is Dream and that's because he let Fame get to his head and overestimated the mystique that a face reveal would grant him.

    @queersamus Dreams entire strategy seems to be sitting himself with more interesting people and profit off of it. He constantly posted videos with the others in them that made him look good like all those hunter vs player videos.

    He also leveraged the fact that he wouldn't reveal his face. It allowed people to latch on to the mystery and make himself appear more interesting by comparison. All his friends showed their face consistently.
