LOL, same. I did a docker-compose pull and restarted, came here to look at the release notes, and almost started panicking whether I omitted some important upgrade steps. Turns out everything upgraded smoothly automatically though.
I’m moving from ChromeOS to Manjaro. I want to put the Task Manager on the right edge of the screen, but don’t see how to do this. I’m pretty sure this was possible a long time ago....
The task manager is just another widget on the panel. Right click anywhere on the panel (except on the tray icons, those are special), and click Enter edit mode. Then you can drag the task manager along the panel and configure it how you like.
I use Proton. But I continue to run into more and more websites and services that detect my VPN and refuse my connection, or just run literally 40 captchas in a row until I just give up....
It is good for privacy but also has the nifty feature of not sucking and being reliable. It is so much better that Teams and my audio works reliability.
I think there was some bad vibes when they got bought by a less than reputable company a while back. I know a lot of people, myself included switched to Mullvad. I am on Proton now though for the port forwarding.
I truly believe the answer to this question is going to be yes around the May - June timeframe when Nvidia releases their explicit sync enabled drivers. All aboard the Wayland hype train babyyyy!
I’ve been trying to migrate my services over to rootless Podman containers for a while now and I keep running into weird issues that always make me go back to rootful. This past weekend I almost had it all working until I realized that my reverse proxy (Nginx Proxy Manager) wasn’t passing the real source IP of client...
Pasta is the default, so I am already using it. It seems like for bridge networks, rootlesskit is always used alongside pasta and that’s the source of the problem.
Yeah, I thought about exposing ports on localhost for all my services just to get around this issue as well, but I lose the network separation, which I find incredibly useful. Thanks for chiming in though!
I see! So I am assuming you had to configure Nginx specifically to support this? Problem is I love using Nginx Proxy Manager and I am not sure how to change that to use socket activation. Thanks for the info though!
Man, I often wonder whether I should ditch docker-compose. Problem is there’s just so many compose files out there and its super convenient to use those instead of converting them into systemd unit files every time.
Interesting solution! Thanks for the info. Seems like Nginx Proxy Manager doesn’t support Proxy Protocol. Lmao, the world seems to be constantly pushing me towards Traefik all the time 🤣
This also applies to Valorant. I know a lot of people look down on both games, but it’s still unfortunate for Linux to lose access to such a popular game....
Yeah, but Apple isn’t allowing it (at least according to the comment you replied to), so if Riot continues to allow their games to run on Mac without kernel anti-cheat, then their whole argument against Linux support is moot.
I’m curious how software can be created and evolve over time. I’m afraid that at some point, we’ll realize there are issues with the software we’re using that can only be remedied by massive changes or a complete rewrite....
If anything, it’s Epic that will succumb to capitalism because they’ve been failing to innovate on their platform since the beginning. EGS is still a glorified game launcher without any platform features. Where’s the equivalent to Steam Input, Remote Play and Remote Play Together, Family Sharing, Chat, Discussion Boards, Proton, Steam Deck, etc.?
Maybe spend some of that Fortnite money on your platform instead of buying up exclusives…
It will occasionally work so you may have just gotten lucky. It seems like its a drkonqi issue, see the linked upstream bug report for the workarounds. You can either uninstall drkonqi or just mask the systemd service for now.
