Since Seven Days of Smut 2.0 is done and I'm a masochist for a challenge, I'm starting something new and writing my very first HORROR.

@Starcross I totally understand. I hate being away from Michael. I think it is totally normal to mourn a partner when they go away and I am absolutely of the opinion that its hardest for the person left at home and easier for the one who is off on adventures.

Reading Salem's Lot, and it mentions a $12,000 advance for a book. In 1975 money. Today that would be about $70k.

A 70k advance. That just seems unimaginable today.

@ashtardeza @RubyJones I think this was also before publishing houses were all owned by investment houses etc so they were about paying people rather than just investors etc.

Last night my kids and their respective partners took me for a curry.

I had absolutely yummy food and the whole thing warmed my heart.

My kids are 24 and 20 and they both have wonderful lovely partners. I had such a fun time laughing and talking with them.

    Today, I got my first tattoo.

    I've wanted a Pride tat for a long time, and stained glass is deeply meaningful to me. A couple of months ago, I stumbled across a design by fine_hades (on insta, got permission) symbolizing CPTSD--a sword, shattered, with symbolic lost time and space, that instantly locked in my soul, because in the blade I saw stained glass, together and beautiful. Today, b_tats_ (also insta) inked it.

    So yeah. I am a stained glass woman. Broken, beautiful and strong.

    I'm probably going to be busy and drunk tomorrow, so I'm going to do this now: here are the things I've been most grateful for in 2023 (in no particular order)🧵

    1. Being able to launch my Patreon and having supporters who follow me there (it's still wild to me that there are such amazing people in the world and that they like what I do). I'm so grateful to have that little community to bounce ideas off and talk to and create for ❤️ and it's FUN!
