One of the biggest overlooks when it comes to cooking dinners or any involved meal with multiple ingredients is accounting for the calories each ingredient will take. Let’s say you’re cooking pasta and you want to include the sauce, some seasonings, some things to mix with the pasta .etc...
Despite being right handed, it feels more comfortable to place my phone in my left front pocket. Maybe because having a wallet in my right pocket predates using mobile phones. What feels most natural for you?
Worked at walmart many, many years ago on a cash register. One day, someone was out, so I got moved to the floor to make the shelves look pretty. It involved putting stuff like this where it belongs, and it was, by far, the best day I had working at walmart. I’ve never understood the complaints from employees who have to do this.
Personally, I find it kind of difficult to follow local (i.e. town/city) news in my area, so I’m curious if others elsewhere are experiencing similar, or if you’ve had better luck somehow....
I usually start with Food Wishes, Serious Eats, or the New York Times. Julia Child for French food, Just One Cookbook for Japanese food. Budget Bytes when the bank account is looking a little thin. Dessert Person when I have a lot of time and want to knock the socks off my friends.
A shower chair. I find hot water soothing, but I dont have a tub that I cam sit in. The chair lets me just relax under the shower. It’s a great place to brush my teeth, so my dental habits have improved.
Recipe. Inspired by Mercutio’s speech in Romeo and Juliet. It’s a stretch, but the cake was good. Especially if you like desserts that aren’t too sweet.

Every Wednesday. That's when sales flyers come out for Aldi (website) and Food Lion (app). I make a list of all the produce going on sale. I keep a spreadsheet full of recipes organized by produce ingredient, and pick out recipes for the week based on sales and anything in my freezer that needs using.
I also have certain weekly rules. I plan 4 dinners and 3 breakfasts. In all these meals, only 2 can have meat, at least 2 must use legumes, at least one must have spinach, and at least one must have fatty fish (tuna or salmon, doesn't count as meat). I aim for an anti-inflammatory diet, so I try to include that type of ingredient in each meal. It's challenging, but fun to plan and has greatly increased my family's nutrition.
I use Evernote on my phone to plan meals. I keep a list there of all foods in my freezer (meats, produce, breads, whole meals) and the date they were put in. Excel on my laptop to store and organize recipes. And the Anytime app to keep grocery lists for all the stores I visit.
