I de-activated my Twitter account today. I had decided to keep it without posting a while back, just in case anyone would try to use my handle to write weird stuff and impersonate me, but I realized there’s no way I’m ever going back to Twitter and posting anything there.
If someone impersonates me, well, since Twitter has become so ridiculous and toxic, I’m sure people will accept that it’s not me talking.
I wasn’t using this account, and hadn’t for something like a year, so, bye « X »!
The newest #SteamOS update is setting the scene for the next giant update on #SteamDeck. But, if you are overlocking or dual booting, you may need to set it up again after the update is done.
Proton 8.0-4, the next stable Proton update, has officially been released on #SteamDeck! This brings with it new games, fixes, and additions to a multitude of games.
Having issues when opening some flatpaks (I think only X11) in Desktop Mode, controller input stops working, I can only use touch screen. Controller starts to work after I triggers Controller Settings in Steam(still in Desktop Mode)....
@Fubarberry@Lord_Wunderfrog dang, people just got a deck. Oh well, time to upgrade. I really want a better screen. Playing games on the SD and seeing that same game on other consoles makes me feel like I’m missing details.
@entropicdrift okay, I’m having issues with the rom transfers. The way I have my rom set up is that each game has its older folder. So, RE2 folder has .cue 1 and .cue 2 and the .m3u file. I put that folder in the psx folder and now retrodeck sees it as separate files and the .m3u file won’t launch. Actually , no Psx game launches.
With the widespread support for Steam/Valve on this forum because of their contributions to making Linux gaming easier, I’m now confused as to why people here are using Linux in the first place....
@netchami@XenoStare I feel like devs who make games for windows and apple should use the open source tools to port their games to Linux, I.e steam. There needs to be some formate where we can play games on the deck that are deck compatible without steam. Hell, without heroic, too.
The feature in #Mastodon 4.2 I was waiting for the most is #ExclusiveLists.
Now I can follow high-volume accounts such as reporting from Ukraine and not have my home feed flooded with it. 👍
