So, your girl went out today and got herself an iPhone 14 pro max. I figured why not. Plus my provider was having a good deal on it. I plan to keep this phone for a while I don’t really do the upgrade after every year thing. Instead, I will trade it in after 2 years or so. I’m excited!!! :)

Today we are gonna be talking about Spiral galaxies.

Spiral galaxies are one of the three main types of galaxies classified by Edwin Hubble, the other two being the elliptical and irregular galaxies. As the name suggests, spiral galaxies look like spirals, with long arms winding toward a bright bulge at the center. They may also comprise a supermassive black hole at the center and a dark matter halo. Some of the spirals have a bar-like feature, and they make up the class of barred spiral galaxies. One of the most important features of spirals is that they have a high star formation rate compared to ellipticals. Some famous examples of spirals include the Andromeda galaxy, our Milky Way, the Pinwheel galaxy, and the Whirlpool galaxy.

It's okay to be different. You are unique, and that's a beautiful thing. Don't try to fit in, or conform to other people's standards. Embrace your quirks, and celebrate your differences. Be yourself, unapologetically. You are amazing, just as you are. You don't need to change to be accepted. You are enough, just as you are. Be true to yourself, and embrace your individuality.✨✨✨✨

Today we are gonna be talking about interesting and fascinating space phenomena.

The universe is full of amazing phenomena that we can barely imagine on Earth. Here are some examples of the most fascinating and mysterious things that happen in space. 1. Plasma**

Plasma is the fourth state of matter, after solid, liquid, and gas. It is a hot, ionized gas that makes up most of the visible matter in the universe, including stars, nebulae, and auroras. Plasma can also be created by powerful events like supernova explosions, solar flares, and lightning strikes. Plasma has some unique properties, such as conducting electricity, generating magnetic fields, and emitting light.
2. Extreme Temperatures**

Space is not a uniform temperature. Depending on where you are and what you are near, you can experience temperatures ranging from near absolute zero (-273°C or -460°F) to millions of degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit. For example, the coldest place in the universe is the Boomerang Nebula, which has a temperature of -272°C or -458°F. The hottest place in the universe is the core of a supernova explosion, which can reach over 100 billion degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit.
3. Cosmic Alchemy**

Every second, the Sun fuses about 600 million metric tons of hydrogen into helium, releasing enormous amounts of energy. This process is called nuclear fusion, and it is how stars create heavier elements from lighter ones. The Sun can only fuse hydrogen and helium, but more massive stars can fuse elements up to iron. When these stars die in spectacular supernova explosions, they create even heavier elements like gold, silver, and uranium. These elements are then scattered into space and form new stars and planets.

Today we are gonna be talking about the Electroweak Force.

The electromagnetic force and the weak nuclear force are two of the four fundamental forces in nature. At low energies, they exhibit different characteristics. However, at higher energies, typically in the range of a few hundred GeVs, these two fundamental forces merge and become a single unified force known as the electroweak force. The temperatures necessary for this unification to occur are on the order of 1015 Kelvin. During the quark epoch, which transpired approximately 10-12 seconds after the Big Bang, the temperature dropped below this critical threshold, leading to the separation of the electroweak force into the electromagnetic and weak nuclear forces.

The changes with discord and the whole getting rid of the numbers after the username genuinely upsets me. One of the things I loved about discord was that I could just use my own name. I didn't have to come up with some fucky username, I didn't have to find something that someone else in the world hasn't already used, I could just be Kaliah. Simple and easy. And now I'll have to figure out something new and obscure that nobody else has thought of, because there's no way in hell I'm going to be the first one taking the name Kaliah. This change really seems like a step in the very wrong direction. There's no way this will be received positively

Quietgirl82,

@Kaliah I agree. I don’t know why in the world they just had to change it. Leave as is would be best.

Good morning everyone. Your girl was not happy this morning, my phone randomly just didn’t turn on after I took it off the charger. Like, it just didn’t do anything at all. So as a result, my alarm didn’t go off and i was late for work. I finely got it to turn on. Thats the crappy fiery mess of my morning. Have a positive day. Today we are gonna be talking about cosmic sensorship.

Cosmic censorship is a conjecture in the field of general relativity that puts forth the idea that all singularities are invariably concealed behind an event horizon. In simpler terms, it proposes that any singularity must be accompanied by an event horizon, effectively shielding it from external observers.
Within the framework of general
relativity, singularities can arise, and they may or may not be visible singularities which lack an event horizon. When a singularity lacks an event horizon, the laws of physics break down entirely as one approaches it. In order to prevent such a breakdown, the conjecture was formulated by Roger Penrose in 1969, asserting that naked singularities cannot exist.

@SingingNala Thank you. I think this is a sign that my IPhone 11 needs to be replaced its been 2 years and I was undecided when to replace it but maybe this weekend. Actually most likely this weekend. I’m not sure what phone I will get, I will have to see if my provider has any deals.

Online friends are just as real as friends you see in person. You care for them. You have a bond with them. You have some form of positive feelings towards them. If you're close enough, you may even trust them with things you don't trust many others with. There is a consideration to take with internet safety, but if you have a friend who is purely online, they're not any less real than whoever you meet up with in person. There is a real person behind that screen. You're interacting with another human being. They're just not in your same tiny portion of the world. That doesn't make them less real at all. I hate people who say they're not real. My best friends are online, and I feel no shame towards that. They're great people and have been very positive in my life. The fact that I met them over the internet makes them no different from anyone I may meet locally.

Quietgirl82,
@Quietgirl82@dragonscave.space avatar

@Kaliah Yes, So very much this!!! I feel this very strongly. Online friends are as real as anyone. In fact. I would say that they can be even more helpful especially in unsafe living situations.

Good morning everyone. It’s Wednesday the midpoint of the week. I hope your week is going well so far. The weekend will be upon us in a few days. Please remember to always be kind to yourself and others. The more kindness we have in the world the better. Today we are gonna be talking about the Heisenberg Picture.

The Heisenberg picture is one of the two formulations of quantum mechanics. In the Heisenberg picture, the state of the particle (its wave function) doesn't change with time. What changes are the mathematical expressions that describe the observables, the measurable properties of a particle, like its position and momentum. This is different from the Schrodinger picture. So, while the Schrödinger picture has the wave function changing and the observables staying the same, the Heisenberg picture flips that around: the wave function stays the same, and the observables change. Both the pictures are just different ways of looking at the same quantum system, and they give you the same predictions for experimental outcomes.

Today we are gonna be diving into a concept that relates to string theory known as Brane.

Brane
THEORETICAL PHYSICS
A brane, which is a shortened form of a membrane, is an entity that can exist in various dimensions within the universe. Branes possess the ability to move through spacetime in accordance with the principles of quantum mechanics and can possess characteristics such as mass, charge, and so on.
The term "O-brane" refers to a zero-dimensional object akin to a point, while a "1-brane" corresponds to a one-dimensional object like a string. Similarly, a
"p-brane" represents a p-dimensional object. The concept of branes emerged as a fundamental aspect of string theory in the late 1980s. Given that string theory posits the existence of nine spatial dimensions, the value of p can range from 0 to 9. The importance of branes comes from their role in potentially solving some of the biggest mysteries in physics. One of the most famous is the weakness of gravity compared to the other fundamental forces. String theorists have proposed that gravity might actually be just as strong as the other forces, but appears weaker because it's spread across multiple branes.
